Growing up in the English countryside had a deep influence on Jane’s garden design sensibility. She brings a profound knowledge of English gardens, 40 years of experience with American gardens and a keen sensibility of the relationship of a garden and its owner to her work.

Through her company, Jane Krumbhaar MacLeish Landscapes Inc., she has designed and constructed some of the most well-known and highly celebrated gardens in the area including Ondine — a new garden at Dumbarton Oaks, Historic Old Town Lee Mansion in Alexandria, and 2 gardens at One Observatory Circle — the Vice President's official residence.

As Jane shares her passion, enthusiasm and experience as a master gardener with GV members, her approach to garden landscapes can help others appreciate them with new eyes.

Space is limited. Please RSVP to Georgetown Village: 202-999-8988.

Hold These Truths

March 27, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Arena Stage, 1101 6th St SW

Reeling from the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, and driven by fear and prejudice, America placed its own citizens of Japanese ancestry in internment camps. A play for our times, Hold These Truths tells the true story of Gordon Hirabayashi, the American son of Japanese immigrants who defied an unjust court order to uphold the values on which America was founded. Filled with hope and buoyed by unquenchable patriotism, Hirabayashi’s unflinching defiance will leave you cheering the strength of the individual and his dedication to his own unalienable rights.

Please call the Georgetown Village office at 202-999-8988 for ticket information.
